From the beginning, Vantava has focused on sustainability. Our goal is to produce sustainable and high-quality products that will last a lifetime.

To ensure this, we fabricate our coffee pot and cups from high quality 403 stainless steel. The handle is made of sturdy alder wood, processed in a turnery in Tyrol, Austria. The pot is packaged plastic-free in recycled cardboard boxes.

Unfortunately, as with any physical product, there are unavoidable emissions from the production process of the coffee pot. These arise primarily in the production of stainless steel. Therefore, we focused on designing the moka pot to have a long life cycle. To make the coffee pot truly climate neutral, we offset all emissions that occur during its life cycle (production, transport and disposal). For this purpose, we have teamed up with Climate Partner, which is certified and audited by TÜV Austria, among others.

We compensate our emissions with the support of the project xy.........

We have had Climate Partner calculate the emitted emissions only for the coffee pot, not for the coffee cup. However, we did a calculation ourselves on the emissions of the coffee cup and donated the compensation amount to Climate Partner. All emissions of the coffee pot were calculated and compensated by Climate Partner itself.

The compensation of the transport by Climate Partner refers to all transports up to our warehouse in Austria. The shipping to you is more difficult to calculate. We try, if possible, to ship with CO2 neutral shipping providers like DHL GoGreen. In addition, we estimate the remaining emissions caused by shipping and compensate these as well.
